About FableKnits

My name is Tanja, and I live on the island of Funen in Denmark with my husband and our two children. By day, I work as a project manager in a large Danish energy company – but knitting is what truly helps me slow down and unwind.

FableKnits began in December 2025 with a simple wish: to knit beautiful dresses for my daughter. What started as a creative longing quickly turned into a passion for designing my own patterns. Before I knew it, I had more ideas than I could keep up with.

My son prefers simple sweaters – and thankfully there are plenty of those out there. But every now and then, he comes to me with a specific request, and I’m immediately ready with my needles to create something just for him.

I spend a great deal of time developing and refining my patterns to ensure they are clear and easy to follow. I always aim to have them test knitted, but as a new design brand, it is not always possible to have every size tested.
